My first cavalier was a pet. As many have found out, one cavalier is not enough. My love for the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel became a full time hobby with showing in the AKC and the CKCSC-USA. My cavaliers are part of my family and live in my home with me. They are pets first and we show as a hobby. Everyone is registered in the AKC and the CKCSC-USA.
With help from my handler, Elaine Mitchell, and breeders in England such as Rita Bidgood of Grantilley, Michael Hegarty of Chantismere and Mark Smith and Rick Aldous of Aranel, we have finished fifteen Cavaliers in the AKC with three becoming Grand Champions. Four are dual champions having finished in the CKCSC-USA as well as the AKC. As of February 2010, Robbie(CH Grantilley Take That) is the no. 4 Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in the AKC.
